Matt Crafton knew that he was running out of gas.
He had two laps to go with limited gas. Crafton saved enough gas to get the win at the WinStar World Casino and Resort 400 at Texas Motor Speedway.

This was his second win of the season, as he led 118 laps of the 167 laps in the race. Justin Lofton finished second after being the Keystone Light Pole No. 1 qualifier.
Joe Nemechek crossed the finish line in third place. He was followed by Ryan Blaney, who finished in fourth. John Wes Townley closed out the Top 5.
Points leader Timothy Peters had a bad night, as he had to pit early due to a flat tire. He went two laps down before the entire field completed 15 laps.
He was then involved in a crash with his teammate German Quiroga that led to a caution on Lap 54. Peters hit the wall after Quiroga’s engine blew up.
Peters finished in the 24th spot, while Quiroga finished in the 23rd position. It also ended Quiroga’s streak of consecutive Top 10 finishes at five.
