Victor Cruz has become a star wide receiver for the New York Giants.
On Sunday, Crus was apart of the National Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York City. Cruz was an ambassador for the event.
Cruz’s mother Blanca is Puerto Rican. In addition, his salsa dancing has come from his mother.
“They’re extremely prideful,” Cruz said. “They love their heritage. They love their people. And they love everyone, and they’re extremely proud of what they represent.”
This was the 57th annual Puerto Rican Day Parade. More than 10,000 people showed up.
Cruz’s mother dreamed that Cruz would make it in the NFL. Never would she thought he would be the Giants top receiver and a Super Bowl Champion.
