The Los Angeles Kings have a 3-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Finals.
They will attempt to sweep the New York Rangers tonight at Madison Square Garden. The game will be televised tonight at 8 pm on NBC Sports Network.
The Kings are attempting to become the first team to sweep a Stanley Cup Finals since the 1998 Detroit Red Wings. In that Stanley Cup Finals, the Red Wings swept the Washington Capitals.
Two years ago, the Kings won their first Stanley Cup Championship in team history. In that series, they beat the New Jersey Devils, 4-2.
That year, the Kings won the Cup as a Western Conference 8 seed. They had to beat the No. 1 seeded Vancouver Canucks, then the No. 2 St. Louis Blues, and the No. 3 Phoenix Coyotes, before the Devils series.
This year, the Kings were the No. 3 seed, and had to be the No. 2 San Jose Sharks, then the No. 1 Anaheim Ducks, before beating the Chicago Blackhawks in the Western Conference Finals, before advancing to the Stanley Cup Finals.
