The New Orleans Saints have moved Rufus Jackson to the defensive line.
Johnson previously played defensive line after being an outside linebacker as a rookie. He is better suited as a defensive lineman with his g-foot-5 and 272 pounds.
He will have to compete for a roster spot this season as potentially a nickel or dime pass rusher. He is learning the three-technique from Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan.
The 23-year-old did not play in any games last season. He signed a four-year deal with the Saints on May 9th, 2013.
