Holes-in-one are a rarity, but they do happen in golf. PGA Tour golfer Zach Johnson made a hole-in-one at the U.S. Open on Sunday.

He aced the 172-yard ninth hole at Pinehurst No. 2. After hitting the ball, his shot landed 20 feet left of the hole.

Once he realized he hit a one-in-hole, Johnson celebrated by flipping his club into the air and pointing his arms toward the sky. The gallery roared as Johnson celebrated.

He wasn’t done with his celebration, as he then slapped hands with fans in the gallery.

This was the 44th ace in U.S. Open history and the third straight year that a player has made an ace in the tournament.

Sunday is the final day of the event. While Johnson is not one of the favorites to win this event as the play progresses, this is a good memory for the golfer, as he can say he had an ace at Pinehurst Resort Course No. 2 in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
