Fan asks Dale Jr. when his nephew will drive a JR Motorsports car again

Jeffrey Earnhardt is the grandson of the legendary Dale Earnhardt. He is the driver of the No. 4 Chevrolet in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for JD Motorsports.

He is next slated to race in five days at the Gardner Denver 200.

This season, he is 16th in the Nationwide Series with 245 points. He has made 13 starts but has yet to win.

This past weekend, he placed 25th in the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet 250 at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan. He was also 30th at the Buckle Up 200 presented by Click it or Ticket on May 31st at Dover International Speedway in Dover, Delaware.

Earnhardt Jr.’s nephew last raced in a JR Motorsports car in April 2013. He drove the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro in the Nationwide Series at Richmond International Speedway.

At press time, Earnhardt has yet to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series. He has combined for more than one year of Xfinity Series experience dating back to 2009.

He has completed 13 Xfinity Series races this season. His best finish came in the ninth race of the season when he finished 16th at the Aaron’s 312 at Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama.

The 16th best finish in 2014 also tied his best finish from the 2013 season, when he also finished 16th at Talladega in the race that was also named Aaron’s 312.

Earnhardt has 10 Truck Series races under his belt in his racing career. He has one Top 10 finish. He had a seventh-place finish at the Nextera Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida.
