The Calgary Flames are talking a new contract with winger Michael Cammalleri.

According to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie, the issue is more of how long the deal will be instead of the money. He made $7 million this past season.

He is expected to be an unrestricted free agent next month.

This season, he had 26 goals and 19 assists in 63 games. This was his best season with the Flames after having 13 goals in 2012-13 and 20 goals in 2011-12.

Cammalleri has bounced around in his career. He has played with the Los Angeles Kings, the Flames, then the Montreal Canadiens, before returning to the Flames.

He has averaged 21 goals and 24 assists per season in 57 games.
