The Miami Heat are attempting to lure free agent forward LeBron James back to South Beach.
Yesterday, the team added Danny Granger and Josh McRoberts. Both deals will not be official until July 10th.
Granger signed for 2-years, $4.2 million. McRoberts signed a 4-year, $23 million deal.
With those deals in the mix, the Heat are no longer exploring signing free agent forward Marvin Williams. The Jazz free agent met recently with Heat President Pat Riley and head coach Erik Spoelstra.
The team used their mid-level exception on McRoberts, leaving no room to add Williams. Last season, he averaged 9.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and averaged 1.3 three-pointers in 66 games.
Besides the Heat, he has been in contact with the San Antonio Spurs, the Washington Wizards, the Charlotte Hornets, the Los Angeles Clippers, Orlando Magic and the Phoenix Suns.
The former first overall pick out of North Carolina played the past two seasons with the Jazz. He played his first seven years in the NBA with the Atlanta Hawks.
