Charlotte Hornets have high hopes for forward Noah Vonleh. The rookie, who was the ninth overall pick in last month’s NBA Draft, struggled big time on Friday night. In fact, he missed every shot that he took against the Golden State Warriors.

He was 0-for-13 from the field. In addition, he also missed both shots from the free throw line.

While he couldn’t make a basket, he did have six rebounds, one steal, three blocks, three turnovers, and five fouls in 32 minutes. He’ll next be in action on Sunday against the Sacramento Kings.

Vonleh averaged 46% from the field last season as a freshman with the Indiana Hoosiers. Yet, he rushed all of his shots in his first Summer League game.

With Josh McRoberts now a member of the Miami Heat, he could get serious minutes in the Hornets’ big-man rotation once the season starts.

The Hornets hope that this will be a one-off night where he struggles from the field. While he struggled, he can only go up from here, as he is going to have better days with the team.

As an NBA player, he is going to have to have the mindset that not every night is going to be his night. If he does that, he is going to be able to play in the league for a long time depending on how successful he is in the long term.
