This afternoon, IndyCar has announced post-race infractions from this past weekend in Toronto, Canada. The incidents in question happened after the Honda Indy Toronto 2 on Sunday.
The first infraction IndyCar announced is against Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. The No. 16 car driven by Luca Filippi was hit with a technical violation worth $5,000.
The IndyCar found that Filippi’s car violated Rule 22.214.171.124 in car weight following race 1 qualifications.
The second infraction is against A.J. Foyt Racing. The No. 14 car driven by Takuma Sato also had a technical violation; however, this violation is only for $1,000.
This violation was found after an inspection following race 2 of the double-header in Toronto. IndyCar found that his car violated Rule 126.96.36.199 with an underwing height.
Sato finished fifth in the race in his ABC Supply Co. IndyCar. Filippi, the driver of the National Guard IndyCar, finished 16th.
