The Western Swing has been known to bring out some retired drivers and popular celebrities. Last year, former driver Gary Scelzi returned to the sport just for the weekend in Denver.
The NHRA has had two popular TV hosts at their races in the Western Swing this year. Last week, Gas Monkey Garage owner Richard Rawlings was at the Mopar NHRA Mile High Nationals.

Rawlings stopped by several teams, including the NAPA Know How pit area to talk to Ron Capps. This week, popular chef Guy Fieri is at the NHRA Sonoma Nationals.
Fieri visited the Shawn Langdon pit area to talk to his friend and Al-Anabi Racing General Manager Brandon Bernstein. Fieri also had one of his son’s with him at the track.
Fieri has been at NHRA events before, and has hosted events to raise awareness with NHRA drivers in years past.
The Food Network host has attended race events in Sonoma in the past. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series had Fieri as the Grand Marshall of the Toyota/Save Mart 250 in 2008.
