New Southern California Trojans head coach Steve Sarkisian received a talented back tonight.
Cedar Hill (Texas) running back Aca’Cedric Ware picked to go to USC next year. He decided to go West after being recruited by a long list of schools.
“I picked USC because it’s a private education,” he said. “If football doesn’t work out, I have a chance to be successful with that degree. It’s a prestigious school.”
The Trojans will have a new offense this season after Sarkisian was named head coach in December. He’s the third Trojans head coach in the past year.
“I’m really cool with coach [Johnny] Nansen, coach Sark [Steve Sarkisian], all those guys,” Ware mentioned. “I respect them as well. I’m excited to be a part of what they’re doing and this team.”
The 5-foot-11, 189 pound back joins a program that has a history of producing stellar backs. In recent memory, the Trojans produced Reggie Bush and LenDale White.
“They think I’m the type of player for that offense,” Ware added. “It’s a good football and a good program. I think their offense fits me and could benefit me a lot.”
