Nearly a month ago, Grant Enfinger switched racing teams. He began the season driving the No. 90 Motor Honey/Casite Ford for Team BCR Racing.

Now, he’s driving the No. 90 Motor Honey-Casite/Allegiant Travel Chevrolet for GMS Racing. The move was made to further his racing career.

The talented driver won the first three races of this year’s ARCA Racing Series. Two months later, he would add a fourth victory at Elko Speedway. All four of these wins came for Team BCR Racing.

“It was pretty huge to win Daytona,” Enfinger acknowledged. “It’s been six months later, but I don’t think it completely sunk in yet. It’s one of those special moments that you’ll never forget. To pull out the win there has been unbelievable. I can’t say enough about everyone involved who helped us get there. To win the other three, those were big, too, but nothing compares to Daytona.”

Enfinger has not won a race since his last win on June 21st. After the Elko Speedway win, he had three straight Top 10 finishes.

He finished 5th at Winchester Speedway on July 6th, then had a seventh-place finish at Chicagoland Speedway on July 19th. On July 25th, he finished fourth at Lucas Oil Raceway.

This past weekend, he had his worst finish of the season. He started the race in the 6th position, before finishing in the 26th position after just 12 laps.

“We have to keep winning,” Enfinger mentioned. “We have to keep the pressure on the other drivers, and I feel like we can do that. We’re in a tough stretch here, as we’re in a 7-week stretch where we’re running every week. It’s tough for a lot of people.”

This Saturday, he’ll be back in action at Berlin Raceway. He goes into this race just 75 points behind Mason Mitchell in the driver points standings.

Mitchell has 3,250 points, while Enfinger has 3,175 points. Enfinger led the points until Chicagoland when he finished in seventh place. Before this season, his best career finish was fourth in 2011.

“It would mean a lot to my career and me personally,” Enfinger said of winning the championship. “It would also be special for everyone involved in my career. That’s the goal for everyone in this team. There’s still a long way to go, but I like where we stand. We just need to keep the success going.”

Enfinger has made 63 career ARCA Racing Series starts with six wins. He has also made five NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts, finishing 12th at Daytona and Las Vegas in 2012.

“It’s too soon to have any definite plans on what my future holds for me,” Enfinger admitted. “With this new opportunity at GMS Racing, we’ve aligned ourselves well with a top-notch Camping World Truck Series team. Hopefully, we’ll be able to pursue that in the future. It’s still early to talk about next year when I have to finish the ARCA Racing Series season. I hope to have my plans for next season confirmed in the next few months.”
