Morgan Lucas has raced a limited schedule this season.
He has raced to back to back semi-final appearances, though. This is his first appearance at the track as a driver since May.
This weekend at the Lucas Oil Nationals at the Brainerd, Minnesota, Lucas will face Antron Brown in the semifinals matchup. Lucas is driving the Lucas Oil sponsored Top Fuel dragster.
At Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, Lucas lost to Doug Kalitta in the semifinals. In the final round, Lucas’ rookie driver Richie Crampton then defeated Kalitta for his first career win.
Lucas stepped out of the Geico full-time ride in the off-season to learn more about his father Forrest’s company that is a major backer of Motorsports. He is attempting to win his family’s event.
