Nubble Light wins the first leg of the NJ Sire Stakes in Freehold

Nubble Light won the opening leg of the $7,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes at Freehold Raceway. Nubble Light was able to get the one-length win after being four-wide down the stretch.

The horse was able to run the third-race mile in 1:56.3. Earthshaker finished second, while Sassy Hanover was third, two lengths back.

Nubble Light was driven by Steve Smith and trained by Deleston Cote. Both Nubble Light and Earthshaker are the son of Rocknroll Hanover.

This is Nubble Light’s fourth win this season in 15 starts. He also has a second place finish and three third-place earnings for earnings of $20,729 this year. He has earned $37,429 in his lifetime.
