The Kansas City Royals travel to the Bronx, New York to face the New York Yankees later tonight. The Royals come to New York to begin a three-game set with two-weekend games.
The Royals have been good to legendary shortstop Derek Jeter in the past. They have been so good to him that the Royals are the only team in baseball to allow Jeter to have a special home run.

This will also mark the final series that Jeter will play against the Royals. His final game against the Royals will be on Sunday at 1:05 pm.

He has just three home runs this season with his last home run coming on August 1st against his long-time rival, the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
One home run came on June 24th at Rogers Centre against the Toronto Blue Jays in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He also hit a home run in Anaheim, California against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on May 7th.
As you can see, all three of his home runs have come on the road. His last home run at Yankee Stadium came on July 28th, 2013, against the Tampa Bay Rays.
In that game, it was the bottom of the first inning, with the game tied at 0-0 and 1 out. On the first pitch of the at-bat, Jeter hit a home run to deep center field off of Rays pitcher Matt Moore.

According to ESPN Stats and Information, Jeter has two inside-the-park home runs in his career. They both came against the Royals.
The first time he hit an inside-the-park home run against the Royals was on August 2nd, 1996. The second time it happened against the Royals was on July 22nd, 2010.
