The Tennessee Titans have added linebacker James Anderson.

Anderson has been signed to take the roster spot of Zach Brown. The 24-year-old Brown suffered a torn pectoral muscle, and will miss the rest of the season.

The 30-year-old is signed to an undisclosed contract, and has 59 starts over the past four years. During that time, he has been largely ineffective.

Zaviar Gooden and Wesley Woodyard will reportedly take the majority of snaps that were previously taken by Brown.

On September 2nd, he worked out with the Arizona Cardinals. He was released by the New England Patriots on August 24th two months after signing with the team in June.

Anderson played his first seven years with the Carolina Panthers. Then he played in all 16 games with the Chicago Bears last year.
