This past May, the Philadelphia Eagles took a gamble when they look Marcus Smith out of Louisville in the first round. Many questions why the Eagles drafted him.

So far, those experts have been right, because in the past two games, he had no impact in the games.

During the Eagles win against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he had zero defensive snaps. This past Monday night, he was inactive against the Indianapolis Colts.

In the Colts game, inside linebacker Mychal Kendricks suffered a calf injury. This has caused Eagles head coach Chip Kelly to activate Smith for his second pro game.

It is not clear if Smith will be a temporary replacement for Kendricks, as he recovers from his injury.
