The Baltimore Ravens have signed free agent defensive end Lawrence Guy. He was only on the market for just two days.
He was released this past Monday by the San Diego Chargers after playing in the team’s first three games. During his time on the field, he had 47 snaps.
He joins the Ravens in order to help lessen the injury to Timmy Jernigan, who is hampered by a knee injury. The 2014 draft pick is not close to returning, which caused the team to add Guy.
The 24-year-old spent last season with the Chargers, where he played in a career-high 12 games. He had 20 tackles and 5 pass deflections.
In 2012, Guy played in 9 games for the Indianapolis Colts, where he had 18 tackles. He also had a sack for an 8-yard loss.
The Ravens were not done in making roster moves today. Wide receiver/kick returner Deonté Thompson was released by the team.
He has been released by the team twice in the past four days.
