If he is signed by the team, he will add depth to the roster featuring Matt Asiata and Jerick McKinnon. On September 9th, he signed a two-year deal with the Colts, before being released a week later.

Lewis has not played in the NFL since the 2012 season with the Philadelphia Eagles. He has played in just 24 games, all with the Eagles from 2011 and 2012.

In his short career, he had 36 rushes for 171 yards and two touchdowns. He also has three receptions for 21 yards.

The former Pittsburgh Panthers back was released by the Cleveland Browns on August 30th.
