New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter had the perfect ending to his long career at the place many believe he’s built. The legend ended his home career with a game-winning single.

This allowed the Yankees to defeat the Baltimore Orioles 6-5 on Thursday night. The Yankees won at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York.

Jeter said last night that it will be his final game at shortstop. Due to the Boston Red Sox rivalry, he said he would play in some capacity.

Since he doesn’t want to play the field again, the only other option is for him to be the Designated Hitter at some point in his final series at Fenway Park.
