The Philadelphia Soul have been very quite in free agency thus far. Yet, the team from the City of Brother Love is expected to make a splash into the market soon.
According to a source, the team is expected to re-sign quarterback Dan Raudabaugh. It is not know if the former Miami (Ohio) signal-caller will sign a one-year or two year deal with the team.
Since signing with the team before the 2012 season, he signed a two-year deal, and the team has a 36-18 mark. The first two years with Raudabaugh as the quarterback, the team advanced all the way to the ArenaBowl.
Both times, in ArenaBowl XXV and ArenaBowl XXVI, the team lost to the Arizona Rattlers. The snakes are the top team in the Arena Football League, as they have won three straight ArenaBowls.
The red-head had 363 completions in 562 attempts for 4,328 yards and 85 touchdowns. He had a 112.46 quarterback rating, the worst of his career, with 18 interceptions.
This was his worst statistical performance since his rookie season when he barely played with the Dallas Vigilantes in 2010. In 2012, under head coach Doug Plank, Raudabaugh went 362 of 540 for 4,790 yards with 115 touchdowns and 18 interceptions.
He followed that up in 2013 with 4,699 yards on 390 completions on 573 attempts. He had 96 touchdowns to 14 interceptions under Clint Dolezel, who will be entering his third year as the Soul head coach in 2015.
