Novak Djokovic has won 21 straight matches at the China Open following his win over Canadian Vasek Pospisil. He had to come back in the second set for the win.

He fought off a 4-5 set point to win in straight sets. Djokovic has only lost three sets while winning four China Cups over the past four years.

Next, he will face No. 5 seeded Grigor Dimitrov, before potentially facing Andy Murray or Marin Cilic in the semi-finals. If he reaches the final, there’s a chance that he could face No. 2 seeded Rafael Nadal.

While Djokovic is playing tennis, his thoughts are also with his wife Jelena Ristic, who is close to giving birth to the couple’s first child. The baby is expected to arrive in the next month, but could really arrive at any time.

He still plans to play rest of the season with his new child coming soon. His season is expected to end at the ATP Tour Finals in London in November.

“It’s definitely always the highest priority out there with winning Grand Slams,” Djokovic said. “That gives me plenty of motivation. It would mean, of course, a lot to me. That’s why I’m out here in Beijing and (next week in) Shanghai, competing and trying to get that year-end No. 1.”
