The Rochester Knighthawks have re-signed transition player Zach Williams to a one-year deal. The team selected him with the 55th pick in the 2014 NLL draft.
“It’s a good feeling,” Williams said.
He comes to the Knighthawks from the Junior “B” Six Nations Rebels, where he played three seasons. During his tenure there, he had eight goals and 52 assists in 31 games.

He also had eight goals and 50 assists in 34 playoff games.
In 2013, he had one goal and 24 assists en route to winning the Rebels’ Craig Monture Memorial Trophy as the Most Sportsmanlike Player. He was also was named to the 2013 Founders Cup Tournament All-Star Team.
The 21-year-old also won three Founders Cup championships.
“It was a great accomplishment and something I appreciate being a part of,” he said. “It’s three years I will never forget.”
He had a career-high six goals and 20 points in just five regular-season games. He also had six goals and 24 assists in the playoffs.

“I liked what I saw,” Knighthawks assistant coach Jason Johnson said. “He played good defense, transitioned the ball well, and has a good shot. He is very multidimensional, and is a pretty smart player.”
