The Cleveland Browns have claimed wide receiver Rodney Smith off waivers. He comes to the team from the Minnesota Vikings.

Smith was waived prior to the Vikings vs. the Green Bay Packers game on Thursday Night Football. He was let go in order for the team to sign quarterback Chandler Harnish.

This move was made to add depth at wide receiver, where the team had a lack of depth at the position. This is also a good landing spot for him, as he could eventually push Travis Benjamin for the team’s fourth receiver.

In his career, he has played in five games. However, he has failed to record a reception.
