St. Louis Blues defenseman Carl Gunnarsson was able to fully participate in practice today. He has been dealing with a hip injury.
He’s still questionable to return to the team on Thursday night. However, it is still possible that he will be able to play at some point while the team is on their three-game road trip.
“The next step is to keep on practicing and make sure that it doesn’t bother me, not even mentally thinking about it,” he said. “It’s way better than before. It felt pretty good. I’m just trying to get back into game pace before stepping into a real game.”
The 27-year-old has not played this season. He had surgery on his hip this past May.
He is in his first season with the Blues after playing his first five seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Last season, he played in a career-high 80 games with three goals and 14 assists.
He played in 304 games in Toronto during his tenure.
