Philadelphia Eagles spark-plug running back Darren Sproles is back at practice today. He is ahead of schedule, and could play this Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
Sproles has been dealing with a sprained MCL. He has received full medical clearance from the training staff to return to the practice field.
The 31-year-old was injured in the team’s shutout over the New York Giants. He was expected to miss between one to three games.
But with the latest update and the bye week perfectly timed for him, it appears like the speedy back could return in the big match-up with the Cardinals in Arizona.
In six games, he has 32 carries for 211 yards and three touchdowns. He also has 16 receptions for 198 yards.
Sproles has also been used in the return game, as he has one kickoff return for 15 yards, and 280 punt return yards and a touchdown.
