The Houston Texans will have linebacker Brian Cushing back for tomorrow’s game at the Philadelphia Eagles. Cushing has been questionable with a knee injury.

He practiced on Friday for the first time in almost two weeks.

“Obviously, I want to play and I hope to play, and the coaches want me to play,” he said. “That’s the plan.”

This season, he has 50 tackles and a sack in seven starts. Yet, knee problems has affected Cushing for years.

With him out last game, the team had to rely on Justin Tuggle and Mike Mohamed.

“But there’s a lot of things that come into account and we have to make the best decision for everyone,” he added.

Cushing, when he’s healthy, he’s one of the best linebackers in the game. The past two seasons, he’s had his season cut short, as he’s suffered season-ending knee injuries.

There was speculation that he would be out until November 16th against the Cleveland Browns.

“I love playing,” Cushing continued. “I want to be out there. But at the same time, I want to play at my best level and have a good rest of the year. We’ve got to figure out a formula for that to happen.”
