Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is close to returning from his suspension against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12. According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Gordon will be “ready to unload” in that game.
Gordon has not been able to practice with his teammates during his suspension. However, he’s been able to go to the team facility, where he has been able to lift weights and stay in shape.
Being out, there should be come rust that Gordon will have to go through when he returns. Once he’s back, he’ll be the Browns top wide receiver.
The Browns are 5-3 without Gordon. He’ll be able to give either Brian Hoyer or Johnny Manziel another reliable target.
Gordon, who the Browns considered trading in 2013 to the San Francisco 49ers for several draft picks, will be entering his third season with the team. Last year, in just 14 games, he had a career-high 87 receptions for 1,646 yards, including seven 100+ yard games, and nine touchdowns.
