Comic Artie Lange has been banned from stepping foot on the ESPN grounds. This comes after Lange made several sexual and racially charged “jokes” about First Take host Cari Champion.
He first made a graphic comment about a sexual fantasy with Champion. He said in the comment that she was a slave and he was Thomas Jefferson.
ESPN, which came out and said it was reprehensible yesterday. Now, the mega sports company has banned him.

“His comments were reprehensible and no one should be subjected to such hateful language,” the network said in a statement today. “They objectify and demean one of our valued employees under the thin guise of “comedy” and are offensive to all of us. We will not dignify them with any other comment.”
It is very likely that Lange will be banned for life. However, that hasn’t been determined yet, as they’ve only said “there is no more future bookings” for the comedian.
The former Howard Stern worker also lost his job at Comedy Central. He could lose more jobs, as well, in the future.
Champion hasn’t commented on the matter. After Lange’s remarks, the hastag #ISupportCari has been trending.

The host joined ESPN on October 1st, 2012 from The Tennis Channel. She was reportedly hired over Heidi Watney and Jemele Hill for the position.
