Zack Mwekassa has found out who his opponent will be later tonight on Spike TV for Glory 18 headline.
Saulo Cavalari has upset Danyo Ilunga to face Mwekassa in the final match of the show. The three judges votes unanimously 30-27 for Cavalari.
Saulo came into the fight as the third ranked light heavyweight. Ilunga was the top ranked light heavyweight.
Ilunga, who took longer to prepare at the beginning as his trainer was putting medicine and water on his back right before the fight started, was no match for Cavalari.
It is only Ilunga’s second Glory loss, as he is now 6-2 in the organization and 56-6-0 overall. Cavalari is 3-1 in Glory and 29-2-0 overall.
Ilunga, who is a notorious slow starter, cost him. The Brazilian was able to use his power to take the top ranked opponent out of his game.
With this fight going the distance, it could hurt Cavalari, as Mwekassa had more rest. The Congo fighter had a second round knockout.
