Ilunga, who took longer to prepare at the beginning as his trainer was putting medicine and water on his back right before the fight started, was no match for Cavalari.

It is only Ilunga’s second Glory loss, as he is now 6-2 in the organization and 56-6-0 overall. Cavalari is 3-1 in Glory and 29-2-0 overall.

Ilunga, who is a notoriously slow starter, cost him. The Brazilian was able to use his power to take the top-ranked opponent out of his game.

With this fight going the distance, it could hurt Cavalari, as Mwekassa had more rest. The Congo fighter had a second-round knockout.
