Chargers add OL Ryan Miller to the active roster

The San Diego Chargers have made a roster move leading up to their home game tomorrow against the St. Louis Rams. The team announced that offensive lineman Ryan Miller was promoted to the active roster.

He was signed to the Chargers practice squad on November 11th, before being promoted to the active roster 11 days later. With Miller promoted to the active roster, the team released cornerback Richard Crawford in a corresponding move.

Miller was released by AFC West rival, the Denver Broncos, during the end of training camp. He spent the 2014 off-season with the Broncos after signing after signing a future contract with the Broncos on December 31st, 2013.

It wasn’t until March 11th, 2014, that he officially joined the team. After being released at the end of training camp, he joined the team’s practice squad.

Earlier this month, he was released by the Broncos before joining the Chargers practice squad.

He was the 160th overall pick in the fifth round by the Cleveland Browns in the 2012 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he played in 8 games, which is the only games that he played in the NFL at the moment.

Crawford was a seventh-round draft pick by the Washington Redskins in the 2012 NFL Draft. He appeared in 10 games with the Redskins that season.

He had 18 tackles on the season in the aforementioned 10 games. He also had one quarterback hit.

Crawford had one interception, one fumble recovery, and two pass deflections.
