It appears like Alabama Crimson Tide junior wide receiver Amari Cooper is moving on.

According to multiple sources, Cooper is expected to enter the 2015 NFL Draft. An official announcement has not been made by him, yet he’s expected to leave before the January 15th deadline.

Cooper is coming off of his best collegiate year, as he had 124 receptions for 1,727 yards and 16 touchdowns. DeAndrew White was second on the team in receptions with 40 for 504 yards and four touchdowns.

“When you are a first or second round pick, Nick Saban kind of pushes you to enter the NFL draft,” one source said. “There’s no doubt that Coop will be a first rounder with the season that he just had.”

He was also a Heisman Trophy finalist, and is projected as the best or second best wide receiver coming out, depending on what mock draft you read. He’s also being compared to former Clemson Tigers wide receiver Sammy Watkins, who went in the Top 10 to the Buffalo Bills in the 2014 NFL Draft.

In his college career, he had 228 receptions for 3,463 yards and 31 touchdowns.
