It appears like Alabama Crimson Tide junior wide receiver Amari Cooper is moving on. According to multiple sources, Cooper is expected to enter the 2015 NFL Draft.

An official announcement has not been made by him, yet he’s expected to leave before the January 15th deadline. Our sources believe that he will be a Top 10 pick in the upcoming draft.

“When you are a first or second-round pick, Nick Saban kind of pushes you to enter the NFL draft,” our source said. “There’s no doubt that Coop will be a first-rounder with the season that he just had.”

He was also a Heisman Trophy finalist and is projected as the best or second-best wide receiver coming out, depending on what mock draft you read. He’s also being compared to former Clemson Tigers wide receiver Sammy Watkins, who went in the Top 10 to the Buffalo Bills in the 2014 NFL Draft.

In his college career, he had 228 receptions for 3,463 yards and 31 touchdowns. Cooper will be the first Crimson Tide wide receiver drafted since Kevin Norwood during the 2014 NFL Draft.

Norwood was a fourth-round draft pick by the Seattle Seahawks. He will be the first wide receiver to go in the first round since Julio Jones in the 2011 NFL Draft.

The Atlanta Falcons traded up to acquire Jones with the sixth overall pick.
