Florida State Seminoles will have a new quarterback during the 2015 season. Redshirt sophomore quarterback Jameis Winston is expected to declare for the NFL draft.

Winston is expected to be a Top 10 pick. There’s already speculation that should Oregon Ducks junior quarterback Marcus Mariota stay in school, Winston would be the top pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

At this time, it is not known if Mariota will make the move, as well. He still has a National Championship to be played this Monday against the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Winston and his Seminoles teammates were destroyed by the Oregon Ducks on January 1st in the College Football Semi-final playoff game at the Rose Bowl. The Ducks won 59-20.

This was arguably Winston’s worst game in his collegiate career. In his final game, he went 29 of 45 for 348 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He was also sacked twice, and was under a lot of pressure throughout the game, especially in the second half.

Winston, who has on-and-off the field problems at Florida State, guided the Seminoles to the last BCS National Championship game last year. He also won a Heisman Trophy last December, as well.

In his final season, he went 305 of 467 for 3,907 yards. He also had 25 touchdowns to 18 interceptions.
