Michael Oher was the key figure in the movie about his life called “The Blind Side.” But he wasn’t blind-sided today when he received the news that he’s without a job.
The 28-year-old has been released by the Tennessee Titans. This is not a surprising news, as the team has been considering cutting ties with him since the beginning of December 2014.
The reason why the Titans made the move now is because that Oher had no guaranteed money after this season, They did; however, pay Oher $6 million this season, where he showed that he was a major liability in both the run and passing game.
He played in 11 games with the Titans, his one and only season with them. He went on injured reserve on December 13th, and had arthritis in his toe and needed surgery.
Before arriving in Tennessee, he spent his first five years with the Baltimore Ravens. During that time, he played in all 80 games.
