Rodger Brogdon has won the Carquest Auto Parts NHRA Nationals from Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona. He defeated reigning champion Erica Enders-Stevens in the Pro Stock final round.

He went 6.560 to Enders-Stevens, who went 6.640. He won by 0.0472 seconds, which is approximately 14 feet.

Early on, she had the starting line advantage. However, Brogdon raced around her by the time that they passed the Christmas tree. He would never trail from there.

This is Brodgon’s first win since Maple Grove Raceway last October from Mohnton, PA. In addition, this is his third career won.

He is now 3-1 in final rounds. Two of his wins have come against Enders-Stevens, but Enders-Stevens is now 10-3 all-time against Brogdon.

This is the eighth time that the top two qualifiers in Pro Stock met in the final round. Enders-Stevens was the top qualifier, while Brogdon was second.

This was the first time since 1998 that this has happened.

The last time that these two faced each other, Brogdon also won at Pomona 2. In that second round match up, Brodgon went 6.494 to Enders-Stevens 6.511.
