The New Orleans Pelicans have signed guard Elliot Williams to a 10-day contract. Official terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
He will be playing in tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons at Smoothie King Center.
Williams, who is 6-foot-5 and 180-pounds, most recently was a member of the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA Development League. With Santa Cruz, he averaged 21.8 points, 7.6 assists, 4.5 rebounds in 36.8 minutes per game.
This is Williams third 10-day contract this season. He previously had one with the Utah Jazz and the Charlotte Hornets.
With the Jazz, he appeared in five games, where he averaged 3.6 points in 8.4 minutes.
He was the 22nd overall pick by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2010 NBA Draft out of the Memphis Tigers. With the Trail Blazers, Philadelphia 76ers, and the Jazz, he’s averaging 5.3 points, 1.6 rebounds in 14 minutes per game in 96 career games.
