Before joining the Jaguars, he spent his first four seasons in the league with the Denver Broncos. As a member of the Broncos, he was one of the reliable targets for future Hall of Famer Peyton Manning.

Thomas has had 24 touchdowns in the past two seasons.

With the Broncos, he appeared in 32 games. He made 25 starts. Thomas has had 109 receptions for 1,282 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Thomas has had 11.8 yards per reception and 40.1 yards per game.

In 2013, he had a career-high 788 yards on 65 receptions. However, in 2024, his numbers fell off as he had just 43 receptions for 489 yards.

He had 12 touchdowns in each of the last two seasons.

Before his breakthrough in 2013, he barely played in his first two seasons. He had one reception for five yards in his first nine games.

The Jaguars hope that he’ll perform well in Jacksonville, Florida, and be a reliable threat for Blake Bortles, the second-year quarterback.

He chose the Jaguars over the Oakland Raiders and the Seattle Seahawks, who were also interested in him. The Broncos also tried to keep him — but they could not financially keep him due to their cap situation.

The Broncos franchise tagged Demaryius Thomas, which made keeping Thomas extremely tough.

Thomas is one of several deals that the Jaguars have agreed to. The team also signed defensive lineman Jared Odrick and offensive tackle Jeremy Parnell.
