Free Agent WR Andre Johnson is only considering signing with four teams

Andre Johnson is one of the top wide receiver targets that teams will go after today. Johnson, who was released by the Houston Texans on Monday, is only considering four teams.

There was speculation that Johnson would be joining the Philadelphia Eagles following the expected signing of Jeremy Maclin with the Kansas City Chiefs today. But, according to Johnson’s brother, he has no interest in joining the Birds.

He is; however, considering the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, and the Seattle Seahawks.

The Patriots have been linked to Johnson even before he was released. They should be regarded as the favorite at the moment, as he could also be back on a playoff team with hopes of winning his first Super Bowl.

Plus, it would be hard for Johnson to receive any passes with the Packers since they already have Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, and Davante Adams.

The Colts do have an opening with the release of receiver Reggie Wayne last Friday. However, like the Packers, they also have a lot of offensive weapons that would limit Johnson’s production if he signed there.
