The Purdue Boilermakers women’s basketball team has saw a player transfer today. Freshman forward Haley Bodnar has left the program.

She did not play a single game in her short time on campus. Bodnar, who is from Utah, could transfer closer to home after having a foot injury that cost her the season.

She is a 6-foot-3 forward from Saint George, Utah. Two possible destinations are the Utah Utes and the Utah State Aggies.

“We all hope Haley is able to heal up and wish her the best of luck in her future, academically and athletically,” Purdue coach Sharon Versyp said. “We appreciate her being around the team this year and wish we’d have had the chance to see her in the Old Gold and Black.”

“I’m grateful for the support I’ve received from the fans and friends of Purdue women’s basketball,” said Bodnar. “I appreciate all of the support from Coach Versyp during my injury, and I will always remember my experiences at Purdue.”
