The Philadelphia Soul have announced that they have re-signed defensive lineman Bryan Robinson. With the team making several key changes, it appeared like Robinson could have been the next to leave.

However, the veteran is returning to the team that lost in the first round of the playoffs last season. He has re-signed with the team for just the 2015 season.

Robinson will be going into his fourth season with the team. Last season, he had 11 tackles, three sacks, and six pass deflections.

However, in 2013, when the team went to the ArenaBowl, Robinson was a huge factor in their success. He was named First-Team All-Arena following a season with 41.5 tackles and a team-record 11 sacks.

At the time, in 2012, he set a career-high with 10 sacks and blocked seven kicks, which is an Arena Football League single-season record, while also garnering Second-Team All-Arena.

“It’s always nice to have a veteran player return, who fits in well with the players from last year,” Soul head coach Clint Dolezel said in the press release. “With his experience, Robinson can show the new players how the team works and I hope he’s coming back with a chip on his shoulder.”

He came to the Soul after playing for the Milwaukee Mustangs, a now defunct franchise, in 2011. He also split time with the Cleveland Gladiators and the Mustangs in 2010.
