Murray will receive $42 million, including $21 million guaranteed, so spending a few hundred bucks at American Airlines Arena is pocket change to him. He’ll get paid $8.4 million from the Eagles each season for the next five years.
The contract is almost similar to the one that the Buffalo Bills paid to ex-Eagle LeSean McCoy, who the Eagles refused to give a new contract, so they traded him way for linebacker Kiko Alonso. McCoy received a five-year, $40 million deal from the Bills, and has said that “he’s glad to be wanted.”
