The Minnesota Vikings have released wide receiver Greg Jennings. This move was made to free up cap space following the trade that they made last night.

The Vikings acquired Mike Wallace from the Miami Dolphins. Besides Wallace, the Dolphins also gave up a seventh round pick to get a fifth rounder.

Wallace is now the Vikings big salary receiver. Jennings will go back on the market, and a return to the Green Bay Packers is not expected to happen.

They’re loaded with Randall Cobb, Jordy Nelson, and Davante Adams.

While Wallace said that he was talking to the Vikings management before the trade. He had to explain to them why he quit on the Dolphins at the end of last season.

Wallace only played two years with the Dolphins after previously playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
