Soul take the first-ever Boardwalk Bowl in AC

Atlantic City – Finally, after months of talks, the Boardwalk Bowl took place tonight at the Boardwalk Hall. The Philadelphia Soul defeated the Las Vegas Outlaws, 51-43, tonight.

This was the first-ever meeting between the two teams, as the two mega casino towns fought off. This game has been in the works since October 2014 when news first came to light.

The Soul are now on a two-game win streak and 9-1 overall. The Outlaws, who are the newest team in the league this year, are now on a four-game losing streak and is 3-6 overall.

The Outlaws put up a fight late, but the game was already out of hand. Jomo Wilson scored for Las Vegas with 3:16 left, then, he added a touchdown with 41 seconds left.

Thomas also had an amazing touchdown in the fourth quarter. That was after the Outlaws scored to cut the lead to 44-28.

The Soul dominated with three touchdowns in the third quarter. Lonnie Outlaw had the first two touchdowns, including a 12-yard TD followed by a 3-yard TD.

Marco Thomas followed with a four-yard TD to break the game wide-open.

With twenty-two seconds left, Soul kicker Tommy Frevert gave the team a 17-14 lead. That was before the Outlaws answered with a 14-yard touchdown pass from Sean Brackett to Jason Willis for a 21-17 lead at the break.

After the game was tied at 7, the Outlaws took a 14-7 following a Will Wright touchdown reception. Thomas quickly answered with a six-yard touchdown to tie it at 14.
