Pedregon the No. 1 Funny Car qualifier on Friday night

Cruz Pedregon has the No. 1 Funny Car provisional qualifier at the 46th annual Toyota NHRA Summernationals. Pedregon was also the No. 1 provisional qualifier last year as well.

Pedregon went 306.53 at 3.967. Chad Head went 308.78 and is second with a 3.996.

Del Worsham is currently third with a 3.998, and Matt Hagan is fourth at a 3.999. Rounding out the top five is Tommy Johnson Jr. with a 4.003.

Courtney Force is sixth with also a 4.003, but had a 310.63. Johnson Jr. had a 315.27.

Jack Beckman went 4.004 for seventh. Tim Wilkerson is eighth with a 4.005, and Ron Capps is ninth at 4.015.

Alexis DeJoria rounded out the top 10 with a 4.046. Tony Pedregon is 11th at 4.070, and John Force is 12th at 4.086.

Rookie John Hale is currently on the outside looking in with a 4.110. Dominick Lagana, who is making his first-career Funny Car runs, is 14th at 4.175.

Robert Hight is 15th at 4.260, and Jeff Diehl is 16th at 4.752. Terry Haddock, who is a New Jersey born resident is currently 17th at 5.862.
