For several seconds, Daniel Weichel thought he had won the match. However, one has to think if he let that get into his head, before losing the match at Bellator 183: Unfinished Business in St. Louis.

At the end of the first round, Daniel Weichel thought that he defeated Patricio “Pitbull” Friere to win his title. However, the bell rang, before “Big” John McCarthy stepped in to get in between the fighters.

Weichel’s team was frustrated, because they thought that they won. However, just 32 seconds into the second round, the match was over for good – and it didn’t go in his favor. “Pitbull” Friere knocked him out and the match was over.

With the knockout by punches win, “Pitbull” now improves to 24-2 in his MMA career. Weichel now drops to 35-9 on his career.

“Pitbull” Friere is currently on a seven-fight win streak. He hasn’t lost since January 2013 to Pat Curran at Bellator 85.
