Mark Bloom to miss the rest of Toronto FC’s season

Toronto FC announced that defender Mark Bloom will miss the rest of the season. He had surgery today to repair the quadriceps tendon in his right leg.

He’s expected to make a full recovery from his injury. Also, he is expected to be ready to go for the preseason in January.

According to Sports Reference, Bloom has not played for Toronto FC this season.

He last suited up for the team during the 2014 season. He appeared in 26 matches. Bloom made 26 starts.

He had one assist in the 2,285 minutes on the field.

The defensive forward has been with Toronto FC since the 2013 season. He appeared in six matches with six starts during his first season with the team.

He also had one assist for the team in 2013 in the aforementioned six games. Bloom played in 540 minutes.

The 2013 season was his first Major League Soccer season. He previously played in the North American Soccer League with the Atlanta Silverbacks.

He also played in the USL Pro League with the Charlotte Eagles and with AC St. Louis in 2010 in the D2 Pro League.
