Wolff still recovering from surgery; on the outside looking in with a roster spot

The Philadelphia Eagles safety Earl Wolff is dealing with a setback. This is another problem to his surgically repaired knee.

He underwent micro fracture surgery in the off-season. Instead of the major micro fracture surgery, this is supposed to be the “lesser version.”

“It’s just been getting worse and worse every day,” he said. “It got to the point where I couldn’t walk after practice.”

There’s a very good chance that he’ll miss the rest of the preseason. With him not playing, he’ll likely not make the team’s final roster.

If they chose to, the team could put him on the physically unable to perform list. But that’s up to Chip Kelly moving forward.
